Stop your efforts to destroy my students, community and my profession. #EndHighStakesTesting

Aloha Mr. Gates,

Your dollars, as you are well aware, are causing the children of our nation to be the worst prepared for the future than ever before in history. You and your cohorts, Broad, Bush, Walton, Oprah and others are pumping millions of dollars into programs that mandate high stakes testing for our children. The stress is debilitating for some and for others the results have nothing to do with whether or not the child will be successful in the future nor does it give their teacher information for helping them. As I understand it though, it gives you and your $$friends, more $$$ and also data to track the students to make more $$$$.

My goal as a teacher is to nurture and help a child grow into a global citizen who does their very best and has a love of continued learning and inquiry. One who participates positively in our society through their work and contributions to their community. I will continue on that quest and I will continue to do all I can to stop your efforts to destroy my students, community and my profession.
